Description: Summer Camp is a very special event at Glenrothes Pony Club.
Camp 2026 will be open to all Glenrothes Pony Club members and will run for 3 full days on 4/5/6th July at Lindores. This is a fabulous 3 days of fun, learning, friendship and full on pony action, it's not to be missed.
Ponies and horses will stay overnight in the stable blocks and members will go home at night for some rest, a good wash and quality sleep. For the past three years older members were invited to camp overnight on the Sunday evening, this worked well and we intend to do the same again this year.
There will also be a family social / get together on the Saturday evening, open to grannies, grooms and all those who support our members.
Members will be split into ability groups and will be coached by our excellent team of coaches on all things ridden and horsemanship theory.
Members will also be in mixed age teams and will compete for the Camp Cup. Older members will be asked to be Team Leads or Assistant Team leads. We feel this format gives members a super opportunity to meet lots of older / younger members, develop team and leadership skills and really get to know one another. One lucky team will win the Camp Cup !
The cost for camp will be £295. A non refundable deposit of £30 will be required by February 14th to secure your place. We ask for commitment early in the year to secure the correct number of instructors. If you are in doubt about attending then please speak to me or any other committee member.
You will then have the option to pay a monthly amount to the total camp cost or you are welcome to pay it all at once what ever suits your budgeting. The final balance needs to be paid 10 days before camp please.
